We love to entertain at our home, it?s so much fun to invite your friends and family into your home and create fun cocktails and cook yummy food together. It?s also just easier to?let the kids run wild in their own home then it is to go our somewhere {although we do that often as well }. We are not afraid of our local Costco, yes it?s not all Organic but they have many organic items, plus we always seem to find so many great treasures there {remember these}. I usually have to take the kids with me, if I send Cody alone he is bound to bring something ridiculous home, the last time he walked in the house after a Costco trip with a steam cleaner, the time before that it was a clothing steamer, so it?s just a little more cost effective for the rest of the crew to sneak in without him. This last trip with all 3 kids, a very nice gentleman tapped me on the shoulder and said I think you may enjoy and appreciate this at the end of the day, trust me you will love it. The next words were ?It?s a Acai Spirit, completely organic?, done, I was sold. Then he handed me this really nifty mixology list full of fabulous recipes, many of them ?skinny cocktails?. again SOLD. Enough said, I bought the bottle of VEEV, the super fruit berry spirit, and can?t stop talking about it since. We love this liquour. With the Oscars coming up on Sunday I thought I would share with you some of our favorites that would be a great addition to the bar at any Oscar Party. I promise there will be a few more posts relating to VEEV because I am just a huge fan now!?Did I mention, that after two cocktails I am bound to have a headache in the morning {i know?sad}, I do realize that I sound like a infomercial but really, when I have a couple VEEV cocktails I am head free in the morning. ok, now I do sound like a infomercial, trust me I am not associated with VEEV in anyway, just truly a new found fan ENJOY, and CHEERS!

Some cocktails we have tried and loved? and some decided we would attempt to make random names for?

Veev ?Oscar Cider?:

Veev Oscar Cider Cocktail

Garnish:Cinnamon stick

Glass:Lowball

Combine VeeV, orange slice and warm apple cider in a lowball glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Superfruit Side Kick:

Super Fruit Side Kick

1.5 oz?Yellow Tail Chardonnay
.5 oz?Brandy
Splash agave nectar
2?Orange slices
2?Fresh basil leaves
Grand Marnier

Garnish:Orange twist and orange slice

Glass:Martini

Shake all the ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an Orange twist or slice.

Red Carpet Sparkler:?

Ingredients

1 1/2 ounces?Veev Acai liquor
3?rasperries
1 tablespoon?sugar
4 ounces?Champagne
1 fresh?raspberry to garnish

Garnish: Red Rasberry

In a cocktail shaker, muddle the raspberries and sugar. Add the Veev and shake well.?Strain into a champagne glass, add a raspberry and fill with champagne.

Sparkling Acai Sangria

1/2 bottle of VeeV Acai Spirit
4 oz. elderflower liqueur
4 oz. orange juice
Top with sparkling wine
Fresh fruit, for garnish

Fill the pitcher 3/4 way with ice, add all ingredients and stir well.

In the bottom of a shaker, muddle the orange slices, agave nectar and basil leaves. Add ice, Yellow Tail Chardonnay and brandy. Shake well and then double strain into a chilled Martini glass. Add a bit of Grand Marnier and garnish with an orange twist and an orange slice.
