Google Page Rank Drop Down Hi Dear Members, My website had a google PR of 2 but they dropped it to 1 all of a sudden. Does anyone know why these things happen? All the links are dofollow and I've used CommentLUV in Comments. Read somewhere that it might be temporary. But how do we make sure that it will go back the 2?

My site experienced something similar. I did create two new pages and linked them from the home page. Can that have an effect on page rank?

Google Page Rank Drop Down Page rank by Google now a day very difficult because of their new algorithms as we called Panda. So before doing any thing unusual on your site just go through once the new policy of google. This will help you a lot.

Content has nothing to do with PR, the only way to gain PR is to build links. Basically, PR is passed on from other sites so if you are aiming to gain more PR you need to build links from pages (thats the page not the site) that has a high PR and low link count in order to have a good amount of PR passed down to your link. You can go into more details on the subject by searching for things like "pagerank flow" and "passing on link juice" etc. But if you want to rank higher on google to gain more traffic and ultimately make more sales, you should be worrying about getting quality links to rank, and not be worrying so much about the toolbar pagerank as that not going to get you at the top of google. Good sharing about PR. Now i am going to see the new rules of google.

Google has a fast changing ung algorithm so we have to look for what are the do's and dont's, we need to maintain build more quality links, and fresh and unique content for our site is a big factor too.

Update yourself. Google updates algorithm frequently. So you have to go the algorithms and follow them. Otherwise your rank is to go down. Over all you have to continue your works with SEO.

Check for canonical issue in your website.. 2. Check for Internal Linking 3. Update you website content 4. Proper use of navigation 5. Google changes the algorithm frequently. You have to read their new algorithm, specially the Panda Update. Now the Google Page depends upon quality contents and natural backlinks after the release of Google Panda.
